Snapshow
Northern Lakes 02 Sep 09
Mark today down, it is the first day there have been waves over 2 foot in the past three weeks. I couldn't resist and had to hit the water for a surf.
The beaches in our area are right up there with the best in the world. This week I spent a bit of time on top of the headlands looking down at some of our beautiful beaches. From up there you can get a nice look at some of the rocks and reefs under the surface. Next flat day head to the hills and take a look for yourself, it's worth it in bucket loads.
There are a couple of extra shots in this weeks' snapshow from a few friends Indo adventures. Needed a couple of surfing shots thrown in the mix!
New Shooter: All of my images this week were shot with a shiny new CANON EOS 5D Mark II. This camera is all time, with crisp 21 megapixel stills and high definition video capabilities too. The canvas prints can go even bigger now, what a dream!
Gallery: The Gallery section of the site has launched, making it much easier to find the images you are looking to buy. Jump in and have a look around - Show me this new Gallery section.
Free Board: The people from DMC Industries have given Blue Snapper a board to giveaway. The board is a Tom Carroll signature series Softech 5'4" Quad Fish. This board is a perfect addition to your quiver to throw around on these small spring days, or a great board for young kids to learn on. For a chance to win the Softech, simply forward the weekly free subscriber email to 3 of your mates. Click here for all the details.
The waves for the next week are looking better with more size than we have had over the past week or so. It can't get much smaller than flat can it.
Have a great first week of Spring, hopefully we get some waves.
Cheers,
AL
