Surf drought over 20 Jan 10
At last the great summer wave drought is over for Sydney. About time. Hope you got out there over the past few days and got your fix people.
I am hearing mixed reports from over here in Bali, some say it's cracking and others say it is the usual story for the Northern Beaches, "South groundswell and nowhere decent to surf."
Bagus: Yes I am in Bali town again. Staying at Club Med on the Nusa Dua side of the island. Sickest wave (Sri Lanka's) out the front, have surfed it every day. The Bintangs are flowing like a dream and the buffet carts are chocka-block full of tasty food. Super Bagus! Will have more images and info from the trip up next week.
New World Champs: The Billabong World Junior Championships wrapped at Narra on the weekend. In the chicks side of things, local North Narra shredder Laura Enever dominated in the final bringing home the title for Australia. Yew! In the Men's side Reunion Island's Maxime Huscenot somehow managed to out surf the Brazilians and the Aussies to claim the title. Solid performance. The level of surfing at this years event was out of control. Next years World Tour is going to be all time.

So the waves have been pumping and the forecast is for it to go back to rubbish, so get out there for the end of this swell if you get a chance.
Have a great week, see you back on the Northern Beaches soon.
Cheers,
AL
