Snapshow
Bali Bintang 27 May 10
With relentless rains and temperatures dropping dramatically, there will never be a better time to book your trip to Bali. Do it.
In Bali it's 30 degrees every day of the year and the surf is always better than here. The water is about a million degrees too. Yew.
I went over there at the start of the month to shoot a wedding and decided to spend a few extra days either side with my girl and my mates. Good decision.
So many options for waves over there. When one side of the island is onshore the other side is offshore and it only takes a short drive to get over there. Perfect. Bagus!
The people are friendly and regardless of what your mum says, it is safe. Like anywhere in the world, just be careful and stay aware.
If the surf does go flat (which is very rare) there is a whole lot to keep you frothing and a whole lot of transport to get you there. Grab a driver or a moped and explore.
Soggybones: Like the whole surf/skate and lifestyle scene? (well you do cause you're here.) Well there are some guys (The Ward Brothers) all the way over the other side of our massive country doing something cool in the form of an online magazine. It goes against the grain and is looking the goods. Check it. | |
Raine Jackson: A young surfer chick who was featured on here a few weeks ago with a little interview and some portraits. Raine regularly updates a pretty interesting blog - bookmark it and follow her travels round the world. |
Ok that's enough from me.
You will see some shots from back here on the Northern Beaches very soon.
Until then people. Until then.
Cheers,
AL
